I'm not sure if this will be part of the plan, but I do not want my desktop pinging sounds all over the place. They are distractions.

However, it would be really useful to see a little red circle on the desktop app's icon (Mac) with the number of new notifications in it. Instead of having to go and check if there are any.

It would be great if assignees would get a desktop notification (or in the case of the phone app, a push notification) when a new task is assigned to them. This is desperately needed for my team.

Would be even better to have a desktop app with notifications so we don't have to have it open in browser to work.

Desperately needed, Matt! Any ETA on this one?

will this only be for comments under Discussion tab or even for comments entered in each task?
